The image above signifies suicide in a blunt and brutal state. The image is in dark colors of black to symbolize death and anguish. The subheading below the picture is a harsh and atrocious one. It states “Suicide: because the world is better off without you.” This is not only ghastly; it is the type of simple-minded hate that causes our teens to envision such horrors. It is exactly this that proves my preconception of the magnitude in suicide awareness.
Suicide is a serious, silent killer. Unfortunately, it is still a taboo topic that adults and teenagers alike are afraid to discuss. With the alarming increase of teen suicides, hopefully, this will change soon. My question is, "How will hearing the voice of a stranger on a hotline differ from hearing the voice of a close relative before attempting suicide?"
ReplyDeletemrs.Mckoy: i uderstand what your asking with this i have found that people dont go to their family because they dont want them to know or to "diappoint" them. it could also be that they do not believe someone they know so closely would want to so such a thing. this i know from common knowledge. talking to an outside soure they dont have to know your name or anything about you they are just their to listen and give advice. with this i have a close relative who did tell me that she has these thoughts so i understand how hard it is to change their mind. it is not a spere of the moment thing it takes thought. with this my topic is changing to a site more to imporve peoples conception of suicde and suiciders.
